These Terms describe the general conditions for using the Brian Moreno, DO website and requesting research, scientific writing, editing, or mentorship services.
Educational and editorial services
Brian Moreno, DO provides research mentorship, scientific writing assistance, editorial review, manuscript development, publication preparation, and related educational services. The specific scope, deliverables, pricing, and timeline for any paid project should be agreed upon separately before work begins.
No guarantee of publication or academic outcome
Journal acceptance, conference acceptance, authorship decisions, grades, residency outcomes, or other academic and professional results cannot be guaranteed.
Academic integrity and research ethics
Brian Moreno, DO does not sell authorship positions, fabricate or falsify data, create fictitious cases or references, complete graded academic assignments on a student's behalf, or ghostwrite application materials that an applicant is required to certify as their own work.
Authorship and contributor responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring that authorship, acknowledgments, contributor disclosures, conflicts of interest, institutional requirements, patient consent, and research approvals comply with the policies applicable to their project and target journal or institution.
Accuracy and final review
Clients remain responsible for reviewing and approving the factual accuracy of all submitted work, including clinical facts, data, references, author information, disclosures, and journal submission materials.
Patient information
Do not transmit protected health information or directly identifying patient information through the public website inquiry form. Additional secure workflows may be required before any sensitive material is reviewed.
Intellectual property
Ownership and permitted use of project materials should be addressed in the agreed scope of work when applicable. Clients represent that they have permission to share materials they submit for review.
Payments, cancellations, and refunds
Payment terms, cancellation policies, revision limits, and refund eligibility should be stated in the project-specific agreement or invoice before paid work begins.
No professional-client relationship from website use
Submitting an inquiry does not create a physician-patient relationship, attorney-client relationship, formal research collaboration, authorship entitlement, or paid service agreement. A project is accepted only after scope and terms are agreed upon.
Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
